Dave Rechel has been installing and working on septic systems since 1977. He got his start with Robinson Septic installing new septic systems in the Barrington area. In 1983, Dave became co-owner of Ron’s Septic in Barrington where they focused on new installations, pumping, and service throughout the greater Barrington area.

In 1991, Dave founded Rechel Septic Systems in McHenry, IL. At the time, the main focus was new septic installations. With new construction booming in the area, the company installed thousands of septic systems in the first 15 years of business.

As the housing market began to slow, the company shifted its focus to include service and repairs. With decades of installation experience, Rechel Septic developed a deep knowledge of nearly every type of system in the region — making us one of the most trusted names for septic repairs.

In 2008, the business expanded further by purchasing its first pumper truck. As demand grew, so did the fleet: a second truck soon followed, then a third in 2017, and by 2020, the company was operating five pump trucks. Today, our fleet includes five pump trucks, three service vans, four excavators, a bobcat, and a dump truck to handle everything from routine maintenance to large-scale installations and repairs.
